Problem Statement

A Thought

As mentioned by Joseph Lubin after Devcon 5, there is a need to increase numbers of developers in the Ethereum community to one million. This developer addition is believed can be easily achieved with a careful and conscious concentration on Africa especially Nigeria

β€œAs of 2018, Nigeria represented the fourth fastest growing developer community on GitHub, an open-source software development platform owned by Microsoft. Between 2017 and 2018, the number of Nigerian developers contributing to GitHub grew by more than 160%, according to their Octoverse report.”

Who We Are

A snippet of why this initiative started

focus

Our FOCUS

The target of this program is to attract 500 new developers in Africa to improve on their knowledge of the ethereum smart contracts and code base, and see them develop very simple dApps that can be used in their β€œimmediate” environment

objectives-image

Our OBJECTIVES

  1. Increase the awareness of Ethereum among developers in Nigeria
  2. Add 500 developers into the global pool of Ethereum developers under the onemilliondevs project
  3. Have minimum of a hundred open source relatable use cases added to GitHub
